Improve Your Soccer Coaching
Skills with 3D Soccer Drills
As
a soccer coach, you're constantly looking for new ways to improve your
relationship with your players and the way you communicate with them.
Adult players may seem harder to train, because their personalities are
already fully developed, but it's actually more difficult working with
younger players that can't assimilate information as easily. If the
"usual" training methods don't work out like you would have hoped, I
found the perfect solution to this problem and it's called 3D Coaching.
Grass Roots Coaching is a company
that has worked on the software designs of the FA Premiership and BBC's
virtual replay system, so that pretty much recommended them as a
serious company. However, their 3D Coaching soccer drills software
did
seem a bit off chart for what I was used with.
But seeing how most of today's kids love computer or console games (and
I won't lie to you, I enjoy playing some Pro Evolution Soccer online
every now and then myself) I really think that explaining the soccer training
drills
to your players using 3D graphics would be a lot more efficient,
because it can relate to one of their biggest hobbies. You
know what they say, when you learn something having fun, it
sticks around longer and you'll be better in doing it in the long run.
Grass Roots Coaching 3D drills also come
with additional text information stamped to each animation. Each soccer
training drills that you will find has its purpose
explained (which is
very
important in order to get your players to perform that drill at their
best), the means to set up the drill (the area the drill should cover,
how many balls and bibs do you need, etc), the structure of the
exercise and additional coaching tips in order to help you out.
You also have full control over the animated
soccer drills, in terms of camera control. You can zoom in
and out, switch to a different angle and if needed, you can even view
the play from the eyes of the player performing it. On soccer defense
drills, you may want to show the exercises to your defenders from the
offensive players' point of view, so that they can visualize what
they're up against. Same goes for offensive drills, with strikers
needing to know the defender's perspective on the play.
Of course, you don't need to use the 3D soccer
training drills for explaining the exercises directly to the players.
If you're
uncomfortable or unable to take them to your team (using a wireless
Internet connection and a laptop), you could simply study them home by
yourself and put them in practice the following day. But to be honest,
your players will be a lot more responsive to visual information than
you just telling them about it, so it's really worth going the extra
mile and showing them the animated
soccer drillsdirectly.
