Not
only is Brazil considered the strongest nation in what regards the
sport, but Brazilian soccer is also renowned to be one of the most
spectacular, technical and beautiful practiced on Earth. In Brazil,
soccer has almost a religious status and it's part of the people's
culture and for many Brazilians, soccer is more than a simple sport,
it's a way of life.
As if all these weren't reason enough to dedicate an entire section on
my website to Brazilian soccer, the country also boasts some of the
most famous soccer players of today, with new talents emerging from the
Brazilian beaches at dazzling speeds.
It's hard not to enjoy Brazilian soccer and whatever country you're
from or whatever club you cheer for, it's even harder not to be sucked
in by the beauty of Brazil's national side.
It's a dream come true, having the most talented, spectacular and
technical players in the World bunched up on a single stadium and
wherever the Brazilian national team plays, they're bound to have a
full stadium to support them.
Even if you don't like today's players and squad, you have to respect a
team that won the World
Cup 5 times throughout its history and a team that
launched some of the most famous soccer players on the first stage of
the sport. But all of these issues are covered in detail in this
section, so if you want to know more about Brazilian football, check
out these short previews and their follow-up articles:
The
Brazil Soccer Team
Although the Brazil soccer championship is considered amongst the best
in the Americas, most of the greatest players were
transferred abroad, namely to Europe. So the focus was always more
powerful on the Brazil national soccer team rather than the
championship, especially of its enormous success in the World Cups
throughout time (with 5 wins and 2 more lost finals).

Brazil Soccer Players
Brazilian football has the merit of forming some of the best soccer
players the World has yet to see, all throughout its history.
You'll probably get bored
reading halfway if I try to make a list of all the great Brazilian
soccer players, so it's suffice to mention only a few names
such as Leonidas da Silva, the "inventor" of the bicycle kick, the
cerebral Garrincha, Pele the living legend, Zico or today's wonder
child Ronaldinho.Click

History
of Soccer in Brazil
5 World Cups, countless Copa Americas and an aura of an invincible
team. This is what Brazilian soccer managed to create in short under a
century, since the first dated match of a Brazilian national side was
in 1914, when soccer was already an established sport throughout
Europe.
Regardless of your opinion on
today's Brazil national side, I assure you that reading the "History
of Soccer in Brazil" article will spark a sense of respect
